Mortal Kombat 3

The Bell Tower first appeared in Mortal Kombat 3. The big surprise was the unforeseen stage fatality attached to this location. When the player enters the specific button combo, they'll uppercut the loser up into the air, where they'll fall through the floors below. The basement is filled with large spikes, which don't break falls very well.

Armageddon

The Bell Tower returns in 3D glory. This time there's no shortage of bells either. At start of combat players find themselves on the upper level. A single powerful blow towards the center of the arena will knock the recipient into the large bell and to the lower level. Large bells of all types circle the arena. The Death Trap here involves falling through the floorboards and landing impaled on a central spire. The character slides down on the spike, and the four horizontal blades neatly lop off the four extremities. And as if that wasn't enough, rats scurry and steal the freshly disembodied meat sticks, while one or two continue to twitch in place.
