What a blast! The first great CoD campaign in years. I only play the campaigns these days, never have time for new multiplayer games. Plus why would I want to play anything other than Wolfenstein Enemy Territory? That said, I'm sure the multiplayer is a lot of fun, aside from the fanbase...Installation is very stupid. I could not find the game on Battle.net after I bought it. Turns out you need to install Call of Duty: Warzone, then launch that and navigate to the Modern Warfare tab and install...

This game has been developed for three years (2016-2019) by Infinity Ward and Activision, with additional work by High Moon Studios, Beenox, Raven Software, and Sledgehammer Games. During that time Infinity Ward Poland rewritten the IW engine, which allows for new performance enhancements and better graphics such as more detailed environments and ray-tracing capabilities. This game is the best Call of Duty I have played in a decade. I may just be partial because MW and MW2 are my favorite of the franchise, but honestly both the single player and the multiplayer hold up to much scrutiny. The single player campaign is a beautiful action movie full of bravado, risk and sacrifice. The characters are great. There are shocking moments that try to say something about the horrors of war.
