    David Archer is very good at math and can speak with the Geth. Dr. Gavin Archer, his brother came up with an idea to use David as a VI for the Geth. David wanted to keep things quiet but Gavin kept him as a rogue VI. Commander Shepard learned of this and is given a choice to send David to Grissom Academy or keep him as a VI. The Paragon ending of the DLC leads to David in Mass Effect 3.
