Career
In 2001 Drew Brees got drafted out of the college, Purdue, by the San Diego Chargers. Brees played for the San Diego Chargers from 2001-2005. Drew Brees won the starting job from Doug Flutie in 2002 and started for the Chargers until they traded for Philip Rivers which was the draft pick for the New York Giants and the Giants got the Chargers draft pick, Eli Manning and Drew was almost on his way out of the starting job. Luckily for Brees, Rivers held out and the Chargers had to give Brees one last chance during the 2004 season. Brees became a free agent in 2005 and the Chargers used the Franchise tag on him to keep him in San Diego for one more season. In 2006 he joined the New Orleans Saints. After spending a few seasons with the New Orleans Saints he has brought them from the bottom of the NFL all the way to being the Super Bowl XLIV Champions.
