    Dr. Hank Freebird is a former soldier in Trauma Team that became an orthopedic surgeon after reentering civilian life.  He is a gentle man who sees the beauty in life and who wants to help those that have lost sight of it.  He also leads a double life as "Captain Eagle," a costumed superhero, though his good intentions in this regard sometimes make him forget common sense.
