An orange vegetable that's is commonly associated with having a positive effect on eye sight. Rabbits have been known to have a fondness for this vegetable.
A cucumber is a longish green fruit. They can be pickled and turned into pickles. We learn from Sam & Max that it is very silly to cut cucumbers length-wise.
The eggplant has appeared in numerous video games, most notably the 8-bit era. This was probably mainly due to its unique shape and color, which made it stand out.
An enclosed area, usually at the center of the screen, where the enemies spawn, and in some cases, return. Sometimes these areas can be entered, but it usually isn't advisable.
Mushroom is the familiar term used to describe a gilled fungus which may or may not bear a stem. Mushrooms are the "fruit" of spore bearing fungi.
Onions are common root vegetables, but not related in any way to potatoes.
