Lord's Blade Ciaran is one of the Four Knights of Gwyn, Lord of Sunlight. As the Four Knights' only female member, she is also the leader of the Lord's Blades, a shadowy group of female assassins renown for their specialization in subterfuge.
After traveling into the past and defeating Knight Artorias in Oolacile, Ciaran may be found kneeling near the spot he was killed. She will request Artorias' Soul from the player in exchange for her unique weapons, the Gold and Dark Silver Tracers. The player may also choose to kill her and loot the weapons and armor from her corpse.
Ciaran's dialogue, as well as the Hornet Ring item found on a female corpse behind Knight Artorias' grave in the present, implies that she was especially close to Artorias and may have harbored feelings for him.
