    Muramasa är en manlig vapensmed och en allierad till Ryu Hayabusas ninja-klan. Han har ofta hjälpt Ryu inte bara genom att erbjuda honom vapen och uppgraderingar utan också ge Ryu råd. I Ninja Gaiden 2 kommer Muramasa till och med till Hayabusas hjälp med att ensam skicka ut många Black Spider Ninja-klaner med ett slag. Han har också länge varit på jakt efter att hitta alla svårfångade gyllene scarab i världen.
