    Overview

    Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom is a graphic adventure title that was originally released on the NES and numerous other platforms in the mid-1980s. Similar in structure to games such as Portopia, Shadowgate, Uninvited, and Deja Vu, the player is cast as Sir Cucumber, who embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Tomato. The game features a very light-hearted visual novel style in which all of the characters are depicted as anthropomorphic vegetables.

    Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom was released on the Wii Shop's Virtual Console on February 8, 2010 for North America and Japan. It was also published on the Wii U and 3DS Virtual Console a few years later, but in Japan only.
