Games that could describe my life

If music can describe a person's mood, why can't video games? Anyways, here are some games that I think could describe my life in a nut shell.

List items

  • Life is more or less like a game of Punch-Out!! Sometimes you're an underdog, and you have to really work hard to push yourself through. Othertimes, you're on top of the world, like you've won the championship belt. You can lose many times, and the only way to beat it is to keep trying again.

  • I am a martial artist. But I can't help but feel that I get rather agitated in a debate to see which martial art is the best. As I've learned in this game, it's more or less about the player who plays the game and its characters, much like the martial artist practitioner that make the art great. Much like other fighting games, or in real life, you train combos and fight other people to get better. It's more painful in real life, but you get the point.

  • Sometimes, you just need a pick me up. I don't know how many times I wished an Ouendan could have made life better like the game. At least I've got friends that support me. More or less, they're my Ouendan...just without the dancing and the over the top pop music playing in the background of my life.

  • That's not to say that my life is full of 'shrooms and goombas so to speak. My life has always been a bit of an adventure. Not to mention that I think the Mario franchise pretty much has influenced my life and friends...especially if you've seen my room.

  • What other game pretty much sums up relationships, facing yourself and all while gaining experience (in all areas of life)?

  • You gotta admit, life is pretty much like endless grinding for cash and for relationships when it comes down to it in a nutshell. Just how each one does it defines them.

  • This is a bit of an odd ball. The game goes like this: You're walking along a peaceful serene landscape when suddenly all hell breaks loose and you're fighting. Carnage everywhere. Kill them all, solve a puzzle, watch the landscape, rinse and repeat the process.

So if I look at my life, work/school year pretty much is like that. You start, it seems all good then suddenly shit goes down and work piles on top of you like the endless spawning monsters in this game. Then your day offs are like the peaceful, quiet portions of the game. Far in few. Never a dull moment...if that's a good thing.

  • I'll be frank. Even though I beat this game, I didn't find anything special with this game. It was awesome cinematically...but the gameplay was just boring.

Ok, besides the point, I kind of feel like Nathan Drake in the box art sometimes. I'm hanging and I don't know if I'll be able to pull through. I often wonder how I manage to get through some of the tight situations in life. I just keep going, even if I don't even know whether the situation will work for better or worse. Whatever life throws at me, I just have to deal with it, whether I want to or not.
