After the first Silent Hill and 'Jansplained' episode especially, I've got so intrigued that i started playing SH2. For the first time. I'm a little ahead (currently 3 hours in) so i can experience it for myself first and I am absolutely loving it so far!
@humanity: It really boggles my mind why developers don't just lower the resolution to get that framerate sorted. I understand reasons like not having the time or budget to optimize it more, but this is so easily solvable based on my tweaking experience in settings on my (6 years old) PC. That's why I watch digital foundry videos on games i wanna play, but unfortunately small indie games are always a mystery before trying on everything other than PC.
Though I'm happy you are enjoying it now, it's really neat otherwise. These relaxing "feel good atmosphere" games are always such a pleasure to be in.
@humanity: Yeah i definitely caught myself saying "why are these platforms so small!" But it wasn't a big problem in the end. Still though, some shadow/circle to show of landing spot like in ReCore would be neat, i second that.
After trying PC performance (Play Anywhere is such a great feature!) i did return back to Xbox and put up with framerate because of comfort combo tv+couch, but after getting used to playing almost everything on stable 60fps on Series X it's a real reminder how framerate affects the enjoyment of playing the game.
@humanity: It is on PC Gamepass and your save will transfer. I tried it, been playing on Series X as well and yeah, frame rate is jarring often. It dips just a little bit but it feels like crap as a result. After trying on PC i can safely say that it's caused by bad optimization, when something like Gears 5 runs at higher fps on my PC than Omno.
Other than that it's nice game. But boy do I wonder how it runs on XONE/PS4
