The abnormally high system requirements for these Xbox One PC ports seems fucking mind-boggling. If they continue to optimize the PC versions this poorly, people are going to start ignoring them. Maybe that's part of their plan to get more people to buy One's, but it just makes them look lazy.
A few minutes in and I was ready to drop $20 to play this right now. Then they showed the sliding puzzles and then the micro-transactions. WHAT A BUMMER. Such a cool concept burdened by some lame bullshit. And everything 10 feet away from you being blurry garbage kind of ruins the look for me.
Really unfortunate, but it will probably be stupid popular since people gobble free to play crafting games like they're fucking pringles.
Remember folks, if you aren't screaming, mouth agape and jumping up and down like a school girl at every trailer then people will think you're being too negative. This is what the Internet has come to expect of us. Either boiling hatred or unbridled joy. Take your pick.
@brackstone: The screen itself is only a few inches from your eyes I believe, so as long as they can see something clearly from that distance, people with glasses (including me) should be fine without them while wearing the headset. Not speaking from experience.
This game is VERY complex and doesn't really show off what's great about it right off the bat. I would suggest watching some other videos if anyone is remotely interested in MMOs. I love Jeff and Dan, but they are not the right people to show off this game. Judging it based on the character creator and 30 minutes of the tutorial zone is doing the game a huge disservice.
Also, their character showing up as the default model is a known bug, changing server channels fixes it from what I've heard.
Seeing some negativity in the comments so I feel compelled to chime in. I LOVED this podcast and would happily accept more content like this. Keep up the great work, duders.
@strathy: That would piss off a lot of people. It will most likely come out on both with a better looking version coming out on the NX. It will basically be a repeat of what they did with Twilight Princess.
