Yeah, I'll second the statement that this seems very similar to Magicka, visuals aside. Magicka's button combinations for spell seems a lot more useful than a wheel you spin though, especially when you're in the middle of combat and need a heal real fast. Not that you didn't sometime slip up and get the wrong thing, but this seems a lot less fluid, but could just be when you're looking at it. But this doesn't seem half bad and could be a fun co-op thing.
@aishan: Yeah, something about the layout (especially of the out of water section) together with the game’s fov is really disorienting. Under water it seemed less of a problem. But above water it really bugged me. I think the main problem is that the camera is so rigidly locked to the thing you’re controlling. It looks like you control the camera more than the character so to speak. Everything also feel very cramped, which doesn’t help either.
I completely agree with your take on the game. I also found it to be lacking in justification for his lack of options to get out of his own situation at times, or why he would comply with his captors when there was no immediate threat to him. Was a while since I played it so it's not entirely fresh in my mind, but I found myself more often than not frustrated with feeling like every choice was treading on some moral scale of going along with it or not when in reality his choices should have been a lot more self-serving from a perspective of survival. It felt like the game let you either go along or get forced to do something, either way they pushed you along a set trajectory. Or so it felt. I never did go back to play it again so maybe my feelings on it are due to lack of seeing the web expand and contract. But the game just didn't feel like it was worth it. I am glad I played it, it had some good moments, but it unravels the more I think about it.
@danryckert; Regarding your thought that Americans wouldn't go along with what is portrayed in the game, I am sure you're probably right on some level, but you should check out this article regarding when some 20'000 nazis had rallies at Madison Square Garden. It's a fascinating look into a time and place often forgotten. I know I have been both surprised and disappointed reading about some actions Sweden (and average Swedes) took at the time. No country is really immune to bad ideas, though. But knowing history is a good first step in not repeating it.
Regarding the game, it looks really interesting. I never finished the first one, though for no fault of the game. I think I might pick this one up eventually and do a Dan run (as in play on easiest difficulty) just to be an unstoppable machine, it sounds fun.
Maybe I am missing something obvious, but isn’t a good way to avoid having the dual shock 4 mess with your steam when you do something else.. to just close steam? Call me crazy, but that seems like a really obvious solution.
I can't quite put my finger on it as to why, but this game is actually clicking with me, even though most of the criticisms I have read is pretty accurate. It's also been the first game in a long while that reminds me why not scaling enemies sometimes actually add something positive. I haven't respected enemies like this since I played Bloodborne. I'm also finding myself somewhat intrigued by the politics of the different factions and how they seem to interplay and what philosophical foundations they have. They even seem to give each faction a bit of speech pattern personality.

Do I use the download button or the "download now for a chance to win an iPhone 4S"? I could use an extra phone but some guy at my job told me those are scams. I always thought internet was mostly honorable people seeding fantastic murdering videos, why would they scam?
I'm not really feeling it (though that underwater 2D section was awesome) and reading the comments on the visuals makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills. But I'll give it the benefit of doubt until there's more footage out there to watch.
Loved the fact that during that first threes match, at around 36:35 min into the quicklook the opposing team score celebration suddenly have 4 or 5 people on the ice out of nowhere.
This might be a tired question, but it has been a while since I played Destiny. Was the FOV always that narrrow or is it narrower in 2? I dont recall being bothered by it when I played Destiny but this quicklook made it feel weirdly cramped.
