Either a masterful craft or through a stroke of dumb luck, Prey is close to perfect. 0

Curse of Osiris: Technically impressive, but creatively insignificant content is saved by a fantastic first Raid Lair. 0

System played: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PCDLC completed: YesLogged at review time: Approximately 35 hours.Experience: Finished everything in Vanilla. Total playtime of 443 hours.Curse of Osiris is the first of two DLC's that release for Destiny 2 in its first year. After exactly one year, we will get a grand expansion similar to Taken King, after which we will get another two smaller DLC's over that year. This DLC adds a new small storyline, two new Strikes, a new small patrol zone on Mercury, a...

Fanatics will take issue with the endgame, but Destiny 2 sets up a very strong base for the future. 0

System played: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PCGame completed: YesLogged at review time: 350 hoursExperience: Played the beta. Played Destiny 1 at 1700 hours. You can't mention the Destiny brand without having two camps be formed: fanatics who loved the game and people who wanted to love it but stumbled over its many flaws and roadblocks. I belong to the former, putting time into the game was something I did without regret. As many others would agree: it is the way it plays. No other shooter really ma...

For Honor is a fantastic proof of concept that fails to deliver a quality product 0

In a fantasy world where samurai, knights and vikings all wage war with one another, For Honor lets you play as any of these three factions to engage in close quarters melee combat that is focused on one-on-one duels. No matter how long your history of playing games is, For Honor's core gameplay is something you haven't experienced before. When in melee range, you can lock onto your target by holding down L2. Then, a shield graphic on your character shows your stance. You can focus on the right,...

Nioh makes an important leap forward for the Souls genre but misses the perfection it could have been 0

Nioh has been in development for over 12 years at Team Ninja, starting in 2004. Supposedly, the direction the game should take was constantly in question. Eventually, Nioh was able to settle on a variety of genre's, taking very direct inspiration from notable games. At its gameplay core, it is a Souls game. Deliberate animations, stamina management and a combat system designed for focusing on one target at a time. As such, your approach to combat in Nioh will benefit greatly from Souls experienc...

A great game, held back only by the ones that came before it. 0

Bloodborne... if there ever was a game that made me bittersweet, this is the one I would name. Bloodborne bears nothing in name with Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls II, but everything in spirit. Nothing is named 'souls', instead everything is named 'blood'. Make no mistake, the set up, structure, design philosophy, gameplay mechanics... it is all identical to previous games in the series.Bloodborne does make some changes to its formula, but they all - at least they seem to at first - ar...

Destiny's biggest flaw is that it doesn't start until it ends 0

If Destiny started with its endgame, it would have been an easy game to 5-star. The best parts of Destiny, however, are being played after you've completed the game. For better or worse, the relatively short experience Destiny offers at roughly 12 hours to finish the story, flips to being absolutely amazing post-endgame with a Raid that might take you as long or longer to finish than story, and that is a blast to play from start to finish. If you've got what it takes to grind your way there that...
