    Rip Van Fish's English name is a reference to the tale of Rip Van Winkle, an old man who slept for 20 years in the mountains and awakened to find that his wife and friends had died, there had been a war and his son is now a grown man. In the games, Rip Van Fish sleeps until he is awakened by an approaching player character and then starts chasing them tirelessly.
