One last bit of paid downloadable content is coming to Dragon Age: Origins, and it's set to answer one of the biggest questions users had after chopping the head off of Ferelden's latest Blight: what's up with Morrigan?
Taking place a year after the fight with the Archdemon that closed the game's original storyline, "Witch Hunt" will allow adventurers and their crews to "confront" Morrigan after her mysterious departure. It will also address Morrigan's deep dark secret--the reason she decided to join up with the hero to begin with.
Witch Hunt will take place in a fresh, heavily forested area, as well as what appears to be a man-made cavern (go figure). The forest looks like it has a small dragon kin problem, while the cave-thing appears to be infested with skeleton-things or ghouls (again, go figure).
Developer BioWare is promising that players of Witch Hunt will "earn powerful rewards" that can be used in Awakening and Origins proper. This is in addition to learning of Morrigan's secrets, of course, which are priceless. Also, if you want to start from scratch with a new character, apparently you'll be able to do that.
The DLC hits September 7 across all three of the game's platforms and will be sold for seven bucks (or 560 Moon Bucks on the PC and Xbox 360). BioWare is suggested that this the last bit of content for the RPG, which makes sense since Dragon Age II is well on its way.
