Respawn Entertainment Launches Website With Blurry Image, Baseless Rumors of Dinosaurs Run Amok

Time to get out the magnifying glass and the Photoshop sharpen filter.

Respawn Entertainment has sent its biggest sign that it's coming together as a studio with the launch of its website, complete with a blurry image, the first peek at its unannounced game.

At first glance, the image tells us nothing, but if there's something to be parsed besides a gloomy sky and what I think is a farm building, that's for Internet sleuths smarter than me to figure out.

(I'm hoping people rampantly speculating that they see dinosaurs comes true.)

Respawn was founded by ex-Infinity Ward leaders Vince Zampella and Jason West, who are still embroiled in a complicated lawsuit with Activision, who owns Infinity Ward. Unless a settlement comes down the pipe later this year, it's expected the lawsuit will head to trial in early 2012.

The only other bit of information we know about Respawn's game comes from EA Games president Frank Gibeau, who told CVG back at E3 that Respawn was working on a sci-fi shooter.

What? Exactly.
What? Exactly.
