 Socom has always been a great experience for me. I may finally get a PS3 for this one.

I've been playing it for a couple hours, and it's pretty awesome (I hope I'm not under NDA).

We could all get together in a server and play! (It's up to 32 players right? We should totally do it).

I've been downloading the beta for the past several hours, it's like 40% complete. (DSL internet)

Just kidding. But I do really wanna play that game though.

Its funny I played it for a bit and thought the game played like the developers hadnt played any other military game for about two years... terrible controls,boring gameplay and horrendous graphics.

Here in the UK 6000 were given away on Eurogamer.net (First come, first serve), no need to pre order the game.

But atm there has been trouble with the servers (long load times, crashing etc), the socom team are looking to get the beta fixed in the next few days :)

Downloaded the BETA yesterday and it's awesome. The only complaint I have is the loading is pretty long, hopefully the load times are chopped a bit when the full game releases.

I signed up as soon as the codes came in and I still haven't gotten my code. It's a good thing the beta's a month long or I'd be getting pissed soon.

Got mine last night. Put about 2 hours in, definitely feels like Socom.

This game is definitely SOCOM. You can say that much. Not that it's a bad thing, mind you.

Damn, I guess I'm going to have to sit around here, reading everyone's comments about how sick the beta is till next week when I can get in.

I installed Sat night at Midnight - played until 4 am...aw yeah!  Going to go play more now!!!  Definitely back to SOCOM's roots - great, great game.
