As part of a Metal Gear 25th anniversary celebration in Japan, series creator Hideo Kojima finally stopped teasing what's happening with Kojima Production's brand-new Fox Engine.

Our friends at 8-4 were attending the event, which was not broadcast on the Internet, and apparently Konami attempted to suppress conversation on Twitter about the reveal.

"Demo of "Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes", started w cutscene (all realtime), went into gameplay, open world, night, raining, base," said Mark MacDonald on Twitter. "AMAZING."
"Snake crawled @ avoiding searchlights, killed guard, rode jeep, called in heli for evac," he continued. "Sounds like MG, but the scale & atmosphere... Wow."
Um, sounds awesome? And this is coming from someone who didn't think Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was much to write home about, unless we're only talking about how completely ridiculous it was. This...I like.
