    Asteroids

    Franchise »

A series of games based on the 1979 space shooter, where the player must destroy asteroids whilst avoiding being hit.

How did the Bomb Crew not mentioned the Asteroids "reboot"?

Handy article that has everything you need to know.

So, to me it looks like, that someone (whatever is left from Atari) wants to get on the whole Early Access survival ’em up train, but has an access to a "famous" IP that has no use to them, so they slapped it with Asteroids name.

@kubqo: They did. They just mentioned it near Feb 11 when it was first announced when that article was written.

@kubqo: Actually, I think they mentioned it on the Bombcast once, and thought the same thing as you.

@kubqo: Don't worry, happens to all of us :)

As for the game itself: The concept does sound interesting, but the Asteroids tie in seems super strange and a little desperate.
