I was on Destructoid and they had a post up about John McAllister attempting to beat the world record in Asteroids of  41,336,440 points. At the time of the post he has around 33 million so he is not that far off. Its crazy because apperantly he has steched out the extra lives WAY past the screen limit, so when he dies theres no change lol. Thought you guys might want to watching videogame history in the makeing.

Update: The score rolls over at 100,000 points. So I guess they're manually recording the score.

I forgot to mention that every 100,000 points the score actually rolls over, so I guess they are getting the score manually or something.

In the stream he only has like 70k points.

oh, hah, good.  I was worried that he may have messed up and was starting over.

That's crazy that he can play asteroids for that long and deal with it and not die. Also, I think the score is now around 38 million.

Is this more of a measure of endurance than skill?

Update: According to the stream he is around 39.3 million points now. Also has over 3000 lives, so its just a matter of time.
