Recently wanted to play some older games I haven't touched in years. Deus ex on steam was one, a few mods like a texture pack helped make it a bit more bearable on the eyes. There has got to be similar mods out there for BGII I just cant seem to find any.

Well, thought I'd ask this again.

I've been replaying BGII for a bit now with no mods or anything. Are there any out there for BGII?

It just doesn't look the same to me as it did when I first played it. Well tbh all games dont look the way I remembered years later.

@MrOldboy: I can help you here. Get the widescreen mod, probably the BGII fixpack because it gets rid of a lot of bugs, and the rest is kind of up to you. Want to put a creepy Mary Sue-esque fan made NPC in your party with horrifically unbalanced stats? Go for it! Want to make it so you can skip Irenicus' Dungeon on latter playthroughs? You can do that too!

Really, Baldur's Gate II is good enough on its own without any fan modding. You should still grab the first two I mentioned, and maybe the dungeon skip if you never want to play it again, but otherwise I find most of the BGII mods to be... less than great. Here's a link to a pretty good hub for infinity engine mods, though I have no idea how long its been since they updated it, nor do I want to know how many broken links there are. Also, try gibberlings3, since they have both the fixpack and the widescreen mod.

Arr, apparently those old infinity engine games are pretty hard to mod. Not that I'd want to personally, I still love BG2, always will love it just the way it is!

Is there anyway to clean up the visuals at all. Playing at over 800x600 = blurry blurry pixels. Any settings I can play with. I have the GOG.com version. Dont know if its any different. There is a config program, but I just turned everything up to its max that I could find.

edit: ahah. Found perhaps what I was looking for. Added gog to the google search.
