I'm itching to buy a game and it's down to this or Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. The word on this game was pretty good from E3 as I recall, but it's pretty quiet now that it's out.

You'd be MAD not to choose Dragon's Dogma. That game is fucking amazing.

For real, you guys, has anyone played this? I'm semi-interested in getting it for the 3DS, so anyone have any experiences to share?

@bisonhero: I ended up getting it, I'm only about an hour in but it's decent, combat is a bit easy, you really can't get lost in a group of enemies because you are fighting on a 2d plane.

Takes place in Blackgate prison and is pretty much the same setup as Arkham Asylum.

Detective vision is cool, they use the touch screen to activate it and you only get a medium sized circle that you use to scan around the scene.

Seems to take place after the console/pc version, so may want to finish that first but I don't think there are strong ties between the two.

I'm lost right now, so there is some exploring to do, a lot of it is dead ends until I find certain gadget though.

So...seeing how there hasn't been a Quick Look of this (and not even a mention in any podcast, I think), was @kidavenger the only person here who bought and played it?

For what you payed for Dragon's Dogma you should have just gotten PS+ and downloaded it for free! Well...assuming your in North America.
