    I recently downloaded BF3 from Origin and without fail every time I play online the game hard locks my PC and I am forced to reset the computer. The crash usually happens anywhere between 15 and 30 minutes of me playing online. I've been googling some fixes and it seems to be caused by the on board sound. I was just wondering if anyone else here has had this issue and if you found a solution.

    PC specs:

    Intel E8400 Core2Duo Processor - 3Ghz

    Asus P5Q-E Motherboard

    4GB of Kingston HyperX RAM DDR2 800Mhz

    Sapphire HD 5870 Vapour X Video Card1 GB

    650w Power Supply

    Edit. did you try disabling realtek audio?
