After watching the TNT, I spent some time thinking about the use of Epic Fail after suiciding. On the one hand, it's outdated now. On the other hand, it did make me smile at first.
 
So... what would you all think of this sort of thing in Bad Company 3? Would it improve your experience or degrade it? What if the memes were updated every so often, perhaps with accompanying pictures or video? I certainly wouldn't mind seeing some Picard facepalm from time to time.

Yeah, I laughed the first time I saw it, but after that it got stupid seeing it up there. I say just keep this stuff out of Battlefield.

Epic has be so overused that its meaning has kinda been diminished. I mean, if everything is epic....then what is the new high bar?

I didn't mind it at first but it wore thin very quickly. Plus it irked me that I whenever I got stuck in the world geometry and had to suicide I had to see it.

It's fine. It amused me the first time I saw it, and it didn't bother me subsequent times. That said, animated .gifs of Picard facepalming would be going too far. (Remember how bad it got in CS with players plastering the levels with their graffiti? No thanks.)

Yea...memes in games. Like when you get hit by a car it could play the pianocat shit. Or just have the announcers yell racist shit at you all the time, that would be hilarious.

Suicides do not happen too often in the game, so it still gets a few laughs from me when I see it after doing something silly.
 
But yeah, I am getting annoyed at achievements being named after internet memes more so than silly references in-game because I tend to pay more attention to them.

just use of the phrase epic fail doesn't feel like a meme at all. I would probably be more offended if it also included a picture of a cat.

I don't think it's funny, but I also don't care, and I'm not going to get all bent out of shape about it like it seems most people are.  Everyone's so concerned if something is still funny or cool or not that they can't relax.
