    Insanely fun

I can't explain Bayonetta, and it’s very difficult to sum up my experience with the game. I was originally put off by the character 'Bayonetta', at first she seemed like a cheap gimmick aimed at luring adolescents in, but now she’s one of my favourite video game characters of all time. Why the need for her clothes to rip off in order to summon large dragons to gobble up indescribable gigantic enemies? I don’t know, but it’s awesome. This game is crazy in every way possible; it seems to take the better elements of the likes of Devil May Cry and God of War, mixes them in a pot and then adds a ridiculous amount of absurdity. However the fact is that this game is insanely fun, fun to the point that the game makes its potential flaws look like assets. Who needs a good story when you’re in a world like that of Bayonetta? None of it makes sense and it doesn’t need to. Fantastic game.

Exciting, over the top, and incredibly satisfying 0

Being the mastermind behind the original Devil May Cry and hence a pioneer of sorts of the "character action game", Hideki Kamiya had a lot to live up to with Bayonetta, the game that many consider the spiritual successor Devil May Cry. However, Bayonetta exceeds expectations by not only delivering a tight, well executed gameplay experience but also offering delightfully over the top and campy narrative filled with great tongue-in-cheek dialogue.  From the first moment you step foot into the wo...
