Bigfoot should've just run this game over.

This NES game was published by Acclaim Entertainment and it was developed by Australian company Beam Software. While the graphics are at least decent for an NES game, the same can't be said for the game itself.

The controls are extremely complicated. You have to mash the left and right directions constantly during side-scrolling races. This isn't Daley Thompson's Decathlon! Worst of all, if you are playing in a NES emulator either in the PC or in your mobile phone, you will risk damaging the left and right keys on the keyboard (PC version) or have your phone heavily scratched!

The sound effects get annoying very quickly. For instance, the buzzing sound for the sawblade power or the invincibility sound effect are very grating. The music is also forgettable, because you just hear what seems to be "Turkey in the Straw" during most non-race segments, with the exception of the game over theme and a few other songs.

The side-scrolling segments are pretty much based on luck. If you damage the gearbox or engine, the race is guaranteed to be over. In-side scrolling races, you can also end up damaging your truck in specific ways if you're not careful. For example, if your engine is damaged from overheating it, then you have to upgrade it again after the race is over. If all of the upgrades are gone, then they all have to be upgraded again.

Even the overhead segments have obstacles that can cause your truck to wreck instantly if you hit them too hard or quickly.

Upgrading your truck to maximum levels isn't worth it because of how expensive it becomes. You also need to have $1,000 to enter a race. If you don't, then the game immediately ends. Worse, if you get game over, then you have to restart from the beginning. This is a racing game with no chance to save your progress, a password or a continue code.

The ending is a generic and bland one. For all the difficulty you had to go through, the game shows a message that you won the game, followed by the player outside the Bigfoot truck, then it goes right to the game over screen.

There's nothing else to say about this game, other than, please don't play. You will want to destroy it with Bigfoot instead.
