Well, it's been a long road, but Platinum is finally available. She is 560 MSP and like the other downloads comes with all the alternate colours and the unlimited version.
I gotta say though, as a PS3 BlazBlue player I am totally unhappy because the store is down! First time I've been affected to a point where I want to cross my arms and pout :p
Also, System Version 1.03 is available to download as well and is needed to play ranked matches. I haven't been keeping up with the changes but hopefully they are favorable to Lambda. Good news is that it seems that PS3 players will still be able to receive the balance patch even though PSN is down.

" @JJOR64 said:I am not. Nothing against anime fighters, she just has a complete mahou shoujo vibe." After I fought against a Platinum I went "Yep, this is an anime fighter." "I don't know whether your being a fighting game snob about that or not. "
Speaking of anime fighters, I really wish Melty Blood came to XBL and PSN.
" @JJOR64 said:Well, after seeing pictures like this of Platinum, you can't really avoid the description whether or not you like this game. Of course, what little I've seen of Arcana Heart 3 blows it out of the water." After I fought against a Platinum I went "Yep, this is an anime fighter." "I don't know whether your being a fighting game snob about that or not. "
" @Hailinel said:I can enjoy the silliness of anime. For instance I didn't really know what I was getting with Arcana Heart but when Heart said she "Saved Japan with the ultimate power of Love" I was totally down. Love and Justice. It's all I need." @JJOR64 said:I am not. Nothing against anime fighters, she just has a complete mahou shoujo vibe.Speaking of anime fighters, I really wish Melty Blood came to XBL and PSN. If Platinum has something silly about Love or Justice then I will be so much more interested.
Along with the CS2 update. Mmm... Just in time as I set everything (well... Excluding my PS3) up in my house. The time has come again for me to don the fedora and scheming grin.
@JJOR64:
melty blood is awesome from the few time i have played it
i wanted to get this game for awhile, might pick it up
I hope they print a disk with everything in it.
" @Sasran: The question about the patch, if the patch servers are enabled where is the 1.03 patch for BB:CS on PS3 I haven't seen it at all :| maybe it's just me... "No, it's not just you. I just started it up a few minutes ago and it didn't download anything but I did then play MvC3 and it did download a patch, so I guess it just isn't out yet.
@Getz said:maybe relatively, but when I think about what I usually spend five dollars on, one character seems like robbery to me. 12 characters in the original 60 dollar game is still 5 bucks a piece when you don't count all the stages, coding for their online mode, and the story mode. By that standard, one character is not 7 dollars worth of work for them. Not trying to shit on Arc System Works because I think they do a great job, I'm just against DLC price gouging.7 bucks for one character? Holy shit. The original game was like $40 though. Measure that up against Capcom's $60 MvC3 with $5 a pop for a character and lack of features, it doesn't seem so bad.
@Sasran: Ah, thought so thanks anyway. I hope Aksys does release it case I want to get some practice in 1.03 AKA BB:CS2Yeah, no doubt. I wonder what has been changed with Lambda. I played for the first time in months and I was able to get to Hazama in arcade mode in Hell only losing to Tsubaki (with 2 rounds) so I feel pretty into BlazBlue right now.
EDIT: Mind you this is the PSP version but its the same thing (probably), and that is some interesting Air juggling if you ask me
Wow, I have a boner right now. I have no idea how I will learn all that but I want to. I would want them to patch in bonus challenges so that I could learn it in the game. Also, I see more ways to hit with QCF+C that I did not know before.@Sasran: Hopefully this should help
From the looks of it, BBCS2 patch (Patch 1.03) has upped several characters (Noel YAY!) and replaced other stuff. Also it seems to have sped up characters (not sure if all...) and combos are, well, combos..
I wish they had a demo for her. The other DLC characters are my favorites, and I'm kind of interested in Platinum but... I also kind of feel like I have all the characters I need. What difference can one character make anyway? What are the odds that I'll like her more than my current favorites?
Finally got a chance to try out the patch last night. Noticed that someone edited the majority of the Challenges because a bunch of the old combos just won't work anymore. Still unsure if I feel like spending money on Platinum, though.
