Although it's a competing gaming website :) 1up has a really cool preview up for Blitz the league 2. It looks like this one is going to be full of the dirty, late hitting football that I loved so much on the arcade. Plus exploding testicles is totally hilarious..I can't wait to do that to my friends player in head to head play haha.

I wish Blitz would still have the NFL teams like they did in 02 and 03. I loved 2003 for my gc.

I actually like it a bit more without the NFL teams because that lets them do their own thing with the story mode, which I find really cool. They got Peter Egan from Playmakers to write the story mode section of the game, which is awesome. I think it's better than just the mindless game-after-game-after-game of the same stuff like in NFL games.

I have a question for people about the blitz the league games. I'm not a fan of american football, and I find madden fairly boring, but blitz the league looks interesting. Would I like it?

I think this Blitz game may be the first great one in a while. I won't really know, but it sounds like they are bringing back some of the things that always made playing these games so much fun, like late hits...It's not really a Blitz game if it doesn't have late hits!

@MattyFM: I think you could like a Blitz game, but I would recommend trying a demo first (if one comes out of course).
