For all these games, it is illegal to sell or make them available to minors in Germany and it is illegal to advertise for it in any form. This includes the mere presence of a game in the shelves of a store.
Some creatures don't need guns or swords to hurt you. Instead they pack a punch with some kind of deadly breath attack, be it flaming, poisonous, radioactive, or just plain bad!
A character in a game who uses unorthodox moves, and who likes to play 'practical jokes' on opponents. This makes losing to him/her all the more humiliating.
Deadly Gas is used in many games as an obstacle and usually causes the player's health to degenerate over time.
This little guy here is the very first enemy you encounter in Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One. Its attacks are probably the easiest to avoid in the game.
This enemy is met shortly after beginning the game. While they are no stronger than their Mark I brethren, they can take a punch better because of their higher defense and HP.
This version of the Fruit Fucker is more powerful than its Mark I and Mark II siblings and its attacks are not as easy to block.
The use of everyday objects as weapons of destruction, often combination.
An advanced mutation of zombies, mostly recognizable for their appearances in Resident Evil 2 & 5; their name comes from their distinctively lengthy tongue. Their other most notable characteristic is their lack of any form of sight, which forces them to rely on sound to hunt their prey.
Simulating the effects of a great variety of poisons, toxins, venoms and nerve agents can lead to many unique and interesting mechanics. A classic trope in games, Poison usually deals small amounts of damage to health over time.
Used in fighting games, projectiles are objects that a fighter can launch at another fighter to attack from a distance. While they can be used to simply inflict damage, projectiles are often used to maneuver opponents into disadvantageous positions.
Humor which relates to feces, urine, or flatulence; also known as toilet humor.
Whenever a character is seen in promotional art, or in a cut scene, chances are, they'll be using this.
Featured mainly in fighting games, special attacks usually require more than just pressing a button to activate. They are usually unique or at least varied between characters.
Like a critical hit, this is a special action invoked from certain attacks in games or caused randomly on attacks by a character's statistic. It causes opponents to lose the ability to attack back for a certain period of time, and usually invokes the hit character to go into a special animation.
Whether with a button press or menu, taunts destroy friendships and can even make the computer go crazy.
When you gotta go, you gotta go. Urination is found in games for a number of reasons, including comic relief and a quick pathway to sobriety.
A visual obstruction is an extra layer added to the player's viewpoint. Most common in first person games to add to the notion that you are looking through a character's eyes. Obstructions include blood, water and ice crystals.
The disgusting process in which a character regurgitates the contents of their stomach back into the world, usually performed as a means of purging the body of poisons or intoxicants, but often (in videogames, anyway) used as a means of projectile attack by non-human enemies.
Zombies, more accurately called the walking dead, are reanimated corpses who feed on the living, and have become a ubiquitous video game enemy. They often move slowly, but can be deadly in large numbers, which is unfortunately how they tend to travel. Shotgun time!
