In my last review I mentioned a game called Call of Juarez: The Cartel a few times. Well After writing that review I had the dumb idea to why not rent it and review it. From everything I heard about this game when it came out, nothing has been fixed. I never played a Call of Juarez game and you don't need to because all this game has to do with the other games is that Ben McCall is descendant of Ray McCall. You play as ether Ben McCall, Eddie Guerra, or Kim Evans. All mostly play the same, Kim when you aim and standstill your aim will zoom in a little more. Other than that all three of them play the same. Just like Dead island the back story is shown in the select menu for the characters. This time you see a video showing the back story not the character talking about him self briefly. The story is the typical you trying to stop some criminals. If you want the full story and I don't know why anyone want to, you will have to play through this three times with each person. During missions you get side missions, to get these side missions your phone will ring and you will automatically pick it up. Sometimes these calls come at bad times for example during a gun fight. You could be running and gunning then out of nowhere the phone rings, you answer it and now your standing there out in the open unable to shoot and to end the call.

This game would look great if it didn't have a problem with the brightness, it always felt off. At times I come barely see due to it being so high out of no where. When the brightness was not acting up the game looked good, not the best but good. There are spelling errors in the subtitles. Voice acting ok, Ben sound like he is over acting a few times.

This and Dead island are very much alike. The woman who joins you and becomes your storage in Dead island she is in this game, same look and same voice. Both games have rap intros but Dead island song is better, I can't remember how the Cartel song goes. All the back story for the person your playing as told in the select menu, again Cartel did this better with the video not just the person talking about them self for a min. Guns look, sound and feel the same. The has multiple endings, they do this to make you want to play it again and again for them but with the story being dumb and all over the place which makes it hard to follow at times, once you beat this once you don't want to beat it again. The mean ending ( you can choose how it ends, ether fight or not and not is the same each person) is one-sided and shows one of the playable people as the hero.

In all Call of Juarez: The Cartel is a poor sequel and I hope doesn't kill off the series.Co op online is dead but found people playing the multiplayer which is boring and been done better in other games. This game is worst than Dead island and hope is developer doesn't become the next LJN. If you want to play a Call of Juarez play the other two.

      The Wild New West 0

Call of Juarez: The Cartel has changed from it's previous counterparts. No longer taking place in the Wild West, The Cartel puts you in the shoes of three law enforcement agents as they battle against the players in the drug trade, while also dealing with their partners and attempting to determine their own intentions. Ubisoft has changed Call of Juarez. Developers have done this in the past where they breakdown down their games and rebuild them, but it doesn't always come back together again...

Call Of Juarez : The Cartel 0

The best way I can describe Call Of Juarez: The Cartel is Inconsistent. What begins as an enjoyable experience quickly becomes an aggravating, boring and repetitive mess that has little if not nothing to do with the previous games in the series.   The story of The Cartel is a pretty simple and forgettable one. In the beginning of the game the FBI, DEA and LAPD has begun working together to bring down a section of the Mexican drug cartel. After the beginning cut scene you are give a choice betwee...
