I really loved Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. I just began playing Chrono Trigger again (on DS) and I would kill to get another game in this awesome serie that, for some reason, Square-Enix chose not to exploit to its full potential.

When will they make Chrono 3 and what would it be about ? Time travel or parallele universes ?

Will any other company try to create a game that would fit the same mold ? (Mistwalker, please...)

While we are talking about it, have any other games that I might have overlooked have things in common with what made Chrono Trigger so awesome ?

 I don't mind if they do something in the ways of Chrono Cross, which is more of a spiritual successor (or predecessor?), but I wouldn't like to see characters from Chrono Trigger again.
I don't think it would be good to explore time travel again, nowadays it's too much of a cliché. Also, most of the stories that use it end up with way too many loose threads. I don't really know what they could explore now.

What do you personaly think made Chrono Trigger so awesome? I'm not disagreeing, it is awesome, but I'd like to know.
