So I just sold all my Sublime Bone Dust and Shards but keep in mind that I have fully upgraded my Estus Flasks. I couldn't burn them or use them it seems so I'm curious if I really made a terrible choice? Either way I figured go for it?
Dark Souls II
Game » consists of 12 releases. Released Mar 11, 2014
Blood, souls, and tears are continually spent as players traverse the land of Drangleic in FromSoftware's third entry in the Souls series.
Estus Flasks shards are they needed in NG+?
If you drop them on the ground in front of the lady that upgrades them, she give you a soul of a great hero the next time you talk to her. So if you drop one, then rest at the bonfire, then speak with her. She will give it to you. Using her Talk option from the menu. Since those are 20,000 a pop you should have totally done that. With the 11 you find that is 220,000 souls. Also after the 10th one, she get naked.

You need them for crafting the NG+ boss weapons....You fucked up...
I can verify these are both 100% true, and also that Gavlan will join your party if you sell three of them to him.
If you place them all on the map in the mansion where the bonfires were lit up in NG+ it opens a dungeon under the cat house that is full of strippers and a Rise Kujikawa model.
No, they fixed that in the latest patch, it's NG++ now, unless you are wearing the Boots of Kick.
@neonie: That's how you went with that story line? I dropped them in from of the Rat King and he presented me with the Severed Head of Nanako Dojima

That made me sad.

Her head is actually a weapon. Regular attacks make her say, "Big Bro!'', strong attacks make her say, "It's a Platypus!"; if you pull off a successful riposte she'll sing the Junes theme song and back stabs will have her mutter, "Mom?"
Too much?
You guys are really wasting your NG+ Estus Flask Shards. You ought to be taking them to Agdayne after he moves to the Dragon Shrine so he can level up your Pyromancies. My Flame Swathe +3 has one-hit all the bosses I've faced with it.
@aegon: ...jokes?
Actually, you drop an Estus Flask Shard directly on top of an active Prism Stone. You can use the resulting Chromatic Estus Flask Shard with the Emerald Herald to turn your Estus Flask the color of the dropped Prism Stone.
