Here is early video of Dead Space for Xbox 1.
Dead Space
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Oct 14, 2008
Engineer Isaac Clarke battles a polymorphic virus-like alien infestation that turns human corpses into grotesque undead alien monsters called "Necromorphs" while trying to survive on board an infested interstellar mining ship named the USG Ishimura.
Dead Space was developed for the Xbox 1
The graphics actually look pretty impressive. This made me realize just how small the gap in terms of graphical fidelity there was between the Xbox and the 360.
It is too hard to make out what is going on in the video much of the time. But my initial reaction to hearing about the Dead Space port was here we go. We got another Dead Rising on our hands. But I find I am more and more looking forward to seeing how it turns out on the Wii. I dont think I will get it again though.
"I doubt the Wii version will look this good quite frankly."
I've come to believe that the Wii is not capable of Xbox 1 graphics. When the Wii came out two years ago, I thought the specs could relate to the Xbox 1, but now... not so much. I understand the difference between 720p and 480p, but still I just thought I would see games with graphics like Splinter Cell and the Thief. I also thought I would see an RPG with old graphics like The Elder Scrolls: Morrowwind.

That was actually pretty impressive, and it gives me hope for the Wii version.

Resident Evil 4 showed that developers could do really impressive things with the GameCube hardware, but few games even try.
It looks like they were just using the Xbox to test out some development stuff, like proof-of-concept code, that they would eventually transfer over to the 360. I doubt they were ever intending for it to actually come out on the Xbox, although since this is probably from when it was still System Shock 3, one can't be sure.
I can already hear it now:
I think Dead Space on the Wii is going to kick ass.
Theoretically, the Wii is more powerful than the original Xbox (the idea of it being a repackaged Gamecube is a mere myth), it's just that devs aren't using the system to its fullest potential. They don't really have much incentive to, either, because chances are whatever game they're developing is going to wind up stuck on a shelf selling less copies than Generic Shovelware Stereotypical Game Marketed at Preteen Girls #27546.
Rock Band 2 on the Wii is a prime example of the power of the console. More or less it's a direct port of the PS360 version running in a lower resolution. Very little was compromised to make the game run on the Wii. In a situation like this most people would blame lazy developers but, honestly, no developer making Wii software has a whole lot of incentive to make a game that takes full advantage of the system unless they're making a really high-profile title.
