Total Mediocrity
A game series that, apparently, sells but nobody seems to like and they seem to have multiple sequels released. Nobody seems to be able to explain WHY we've had more than a single Destroy All Humans game. You'd think that they got it all out of their system after the fairly tedious original. The first sequel wasn't terribly amazing and now we come to the first game on the 360. So, how does it work?
The game is a decent platformer. It is, quite possibly, the definition of OK. It controls OK. The camera is OK. The visuals --- OK, they aren't OK. They are actually pretty sub-par. Crypto looks OK, but everything else looks last-gen.
In a nutshell, you're trying to, yet again, steal human DNA to help your species' continued existence. The weapons are OK, but a lot of them had somewhat random controls, so it's a little out-of-control.
The game was rather obviously rushed out the door. You will, several times, just fall through the floor and will have to re-load your game. It happens repeatedly (5 times in my playthrough). And the end of the game just gets boring. Your ship is unable to CONSISTENTLY do anything, which makes things irritating.
I can't say the game is BAD...it's just so bland.
