Shouldn't this game have been written a long time ago?

If it's coming out next spring you'd think all the writing would be done and they'd actually be well along on actually making it.

Actually, there's a pretty good interview with David Gaider about this. Turns out they need to write as they build the game because a level might get cut, or a character, or something in the game just doesn't work and the writers then need to compensate and write around that.
