Personally, I think in game bonuses take the challenge and fun out of playing, so I never use them... but that whale oil lamp....

So I preordered Dishonored..is there a special edition of dishonored or are the tarot cards included with the standard preordered.

I hate stuff that gives you buffs/advantages at the start of a new game. Probably won't redeem mine until after my first playthrough.

most of them are just small in-game perks, nothing that would substantially change the core gameplay. Plus, it's not like you have to pay extra for them... 
 
The Whale Oil Lamp looks sweet though. Might consider pre-ordering just for that.

The cards should be cool. I really like the ones that came with my copy of KoA:Reckoning, so hopefully these will be as good.

That's like four different statues to unlock as many extra perk slots. Wonder if you could actually use them all at the same time. The core game is six slots I believe, wonder if that's the max you can actually get without resorting to a code. In that case, that extra slot alone seems like a pretty good deal even if the perks you get aren't. I'm sure the perks will go out in a DLC pack sooner rather than later.

Whatever. I'm sure there someone will put out a trainer to unlock all that stuff.

Preordering from Steam nets a small discount and two TF2 items. Not what one would normally expect for a preorder bonus, but that's how Steam rolls these days.

To soothe this little ****-storm, let me say this: the pre-order bonuses might be unique, but their effects are so slight as to be forgettable....

No. Bone charms are like perks. You have a big list of charms available as you unlock them but can only have a limited number activated at once.

@louiedog: Ahhh, I get it. Thanks for clarifying. So pre-order bonuses basically mean you start with a couple unlocked instead of having to find them in the world.

This seems pretty ridiculous as a bonus... I mean, won't it encourage people not to experiment and change up their playstyle, since they have a freaking pre-order bonus to certain skills?
