Don't Touch My Teddy Bear was the first release from Jarokn Games, an indie mobile/PC game developer from Healesville, Australia. It's current version is 2.0.3, released on September 8th, 2013.

    Basics

You mush save your teddy bear from being destroyed by animals, (a goat, a cat and a rabbit) by tapping them before they reach the teddy in the middle, they are worth 100 points. Along the way, the animals get faster and faster until it is almost impossible to tap them. However, there is a 1 in 50 chance of a powerup generating, meaning that along with 1000 points, the animals slow right down.

Once your teddy is hit 5 times, he will be destroyed and the game is over.

    Beginnings (1.0.0-1.1.1)

It cost 99 cents upon release, but after some backlash on the facebook page, it was made free with ads from Tap for Tap.

It initally featured Facebook integration in 1.0.0, but after it was rejected from the App Centre, the integration was removed in 1.1.0.

It also featured extremely annoying sound, which was unmutable until update 1.1.1.

After update 1.1.1, the app stagnated in development for 2 months, until 2.0.0 was released after an all-nighter coding session by lead developer/designer and CEO of Jarokn Games, James Knight.

    Reworking (2.0.0-2.0.4)

After the all-nighter, which was inspired by an email from Corona Labs, creator of the SDK that the game is coded with (Corona), James released version 2.0.0, which featured Google Play game services and replaced Tap for Tap with Vungle.

A few adjustments lead us to 2.0.3, which added support for GameAnalytics, which will give the Jarokn Games team an insight to the game.

2.0.4 brought easier attainability of power-ups, while James-Robert announced a project related to Don't Touch My Teddy Bear.

    Plus era (3.0.0-3.0.2)

The same day that 2.0.4 came out, James-Robert announced Don't Touch My Teddy Bear Plus, a 99 cent premium version of the game that would feature additional animals and bring back the missing sound.

It was released on November 14th 2013 and made free sometime later.

    Windows release (4.0.0-)

On May 27th 2016 James announced on Twitter that he was retooling the game to make a port for Windows and fix the vulnerability in Playhaven, which had been deprecated years prior. It was uploaded to itch.io later that day. A longstanding bug remained with the Android version and the game has since been pulled there.

    Reviews

AppsZoom reviewed the game as a 5.0 (Worthy) citing it as more of a fun kids game than a general audience game, while also saying it needs work.
