I'm trying to be a normal character, and I really like her character but ffs everything I do she dissaproves of. Is the only option to keep giving her gifts to keep her atleast slightly positive?

Give her gifts and do the opposite of what you're doing right now.

Ok, you need to understand that Morrigan worships power and nothing else. She doesn't like talking about love, or anything that's super deep and emotional. Once you keep that in mind it's not too hard to stay positive with her. 

Well, I'm not very good with relationships, but have you tried buying her roses? Maybe taking her to the beach with some wine and chocolate covered strawberries?

I made purely good (major) choices and still made her "love" me (as only Bioware characters do) within a few hours. I just gave her a lot of gifts, made sure to talk to her outside of the main-story.

I dunno what you're doing wrong, you can still be nice to her without pissing her off. The big chunk of (optional) dialogue they give you once you leave her house should set you up nicely for sexytime points. Also gifts.

Buy her off and kiss her ass, just like any woman.
 
You may get the urge to challenge her on her views as an equal would.  You may take her complete lack of sympathy to anyone else to mean you should treat her with the same tough attitude to gain her respect.  You would be wrong.  She wants you to agree with everything she says, and to never point out her incredible hypocrisy.

Its possible to do what you want and have her love you.  Stop to talk to her when you are in camp.  Its just like Mass effect, do a whole recruitment thing then talk to her.  And give her the book she is looking for and kill flemeth, though that task may not be worth the sex.

yea, if you downloaded those feastday gifts dlc then you should be able to get her love easy.

Hire someone to kill her mom. In exchange, kill someone for the stranger. No ties, no motivation. You get out clean. Crisscross.

I started Dragon Age recently. I may romance her as well, if she takes me.

I just found out how the feastday dlc works. Morrigan dissaproval of my noble actions has been nullified by material objects.

It's like real life.
