The true Clash of The Titans for 2010.
The true Clash of The Titans for 2010.

Like BioWare promised, despite development with DA2 the Origins of the franchise will still be sucking a lil more cash from your card.

Titled Golems of Armgarrak this'll follow the Wardens travels through a Dwarven expedition. What is intriguing is that you can import your Warden character from both Origins and Awakening. That said, it's meant to give an added challenge aswell for the most experienced players.

Raises questions as to just how big of a DLC piece it'll be, and how'll the game play. From what I guess importing your character from either Origins or Awakening will determine what abilities you get, with obviously your Awakening character having all the extra specialisations I imagine. But then there's also the question of which party members you'll have if it's clearly set after Origins. And then there's also the matter of whether it'll offer subtle differences for if you play as The Hero of Ferelden or the Orlasian Commander from awakening, or if your Hero of Ferelden will be noted for his/her actions of Awakening or and but what maybe what if?!?!?!?

    Releases 10th of August.

Its nice that they have all this DLC, but really, I hope there is a GOTY version out within the next year, because I'm already really behind.

I've beat dragon age 3 times and awakening twice.
and I'll tell you right now, I don't care. In fact I think they are making to much DLC.
Bioware I fucking love you and your games but I have moved on.
If this stuff came out a few months ago when I was still really heavy into dragon age, It would have been awesome.
But the only dragon age I'll ever want to play again, dragon age 2.

Very understandable. I'm glad that it'll be a separate story from the main game aswell since that way it'll play much like it's intended, as another small story to reach from the main menu. I'm over the main game but I'm all for more small side stuff such as this. I'm still hoping they'll do a Sten Origin story similar to Leliana's Song.

Wish Bioware was shipping out this much DLC for ME2 instead of all that crappy weapon and armor packs. I know that they are making that Liara one, but it still deserves more.

On topic, I just sold Dragon Age recently after beating it 3 times. I played and beat all the other DLCs too, but this one doesn't look good enough to go rebuy a copy.

I'll tell you this tho.  If i could download and play these side story DLCs as just little downloadable dragon age games.
    I'd 100% be on board.

Updated the OP with its trailer. It clears up some of my questions about the party, as it shows to give you new characters specifically for this mission.

I guess they're kind of listening by making DLC that uses my damn save file again.

@trophyhunter:  That's actually not a bad idea at all. I like the idea of small downloadable Dragon Age adventures to fill out backstory or whatever. Sort of like that five dollar Dead Rising whatsits that they're releasing soon.

Yeah, my only concern is the replay value of them when they release DLCs as seaparate content. It's still quite fun to do the in-game ones like Soldier's Peak or RTO for example. I'm not sure how many times I'll replay Darkspawn Chronicles, being a separate DLC outside of the main game ..

It's good of them to continue supporting the game like this. I'll be disappointed if you can't bring Shale, seems a good place to further develop her character.

    From the DLC wiki ..

House Dace has been a prominent dwarven house for centuries, and the current generation speaks well of its future prospects. Jerrik Dace, nephew of the Dace patriarch Anwer, has a growing reputation for getting difficult tasks done. An elite veteran of many Deep Roads expeditions, Jerrik has survived The Battle of Umgol Hale, The Last Stand of Paerin Aeducan, and was pivotal in the recent campaign that pushed the darkspawn from Orzammar's mining tunnels out past Caridin’s Cross.

Jerrik Dace favors fighting with longsword and dagger. Piotin Aeducan calls Jerrik a stalwart ally and implacable foe, adding that "you’d be wise to make sure he's the former.” Dace is always accompanied by Snug, the faithful bronto that he nursed back to health on his first military campaign. Snug is fiercely loyal, surprisingly intelligent, and rarely leaves his master's side.

Rumors persist that when Anwer Dace dies, House Dace may support Jerrik over Anwer’s son, Mandar. Certainly, the two cousins are bitter rivals, having fought multiple times in the arena with Jerrik always emerging victorious. This rivalry may be connected to several assassination attempts on Jerrik, from which he survived with apparent ease.

Recently, Jerrik Dace sought the aid of the Grey Wardens on an urgent matter. All he would tell others is that he’s mounting a small, nimble expedition to find his missing brother, Brogan, who is lost in the Deep Roads. Some say he’s in fact mounting an expedition to find the fabled halls of Amgarrak, but few believe such an outlandish notion.

I really need to see it out for longer than 3 hours. I've struggled to fall into it for some reason. I've got a sealed copy of Awakenings sitting here waiting too.
