This robot monkey enemy of Sonic the Hedgehog actually first appeared in the Emerald Hill Zone stage 2 of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 throwing coconuts. Since then he's appeared in other games, cartoons, and comics.
Dr. Robotnik, also known as Dr. Eggman, is the antagonist in nearly every Sonic the Hedgehog title.
A member of Dr. Robotnik's SSSSS Squad in AOSTH and he was seen in Sonic The Hedgehog 2 as an enemy in the Aquatic Ruin Zone.
Another member of Dr. Robotnik's SSSSS Squad. He is the leader of the SSSSS squad and is probably the smartest of the group and because Dr. Robotnik used rotten eggs to create Scratch that is why he looks like a chicken.
Spike is the 9th opponent in Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, his only game appearance to date.
