So did anyone else find the ending of Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (DS version), a bit disturbing? 
 
A quick summary: The entire DTL world is in the imagination of a kid whose parents both died in a car crash, which also left him in a coma. He wakes up, the fantasy world is completely destroyed, after all the characters have made peace with the fact that they are going to DIE, and that their god has forsaken them. 
 
Now, this might be a totally acceptable ending if this game was intended more for adults, but this is a kids' game. Thoughts?
 
And on a side note, does anyone know if the ending had anything to do with the company folding or something? Because most of the time companies at least like leaving some wiggle room for another sequel.

For real? That's pretty messed up.

Kinda reminded me of the Zelda Links awakening ending, 
that game made me feel bad for getting those insturments
