This is something that I've noticed recently, and the "alliteration" bit of the most recent Demo Derby confirmed that I'm not just crazy; Drew never, ever swears. I haven't heard him utter a single vulgarity in any piece of content, Giant Bomb or elsewhere. This is not a criticism, quite the contrary. I find it absolutely fascinating, especially given that he works at the gaming site that is easily the most cavalier about language. Even sitting next to Dan, whose curse count potentially outweighs even Jeff's, Drew maintains his swear-free lifestyle.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there, in fact, a hidden moment of sailor-level lingo I've missed? If not, this is just one more thing to add to the "Drew Is Fascinating" list.

He also has a very straight pose when sitting down and his familly has some sort of emblem I think. Like the noble kind. And he knows archery. Maybe he is of some kind of noble blood lol.

And yeah, I can't recall him swearing either.

Ah, apologies for the double-thread, then. I hadn't seen that, and this seemed like such a specific thing that I didn't expect someone to have already brought it up.

I guess it makes sense considering that these past few months, Drew's been in more and more content. Especially with Metal Gear Scanlon, where I think most people would expect him to swear, haha.

I think it's a good thing. Way to go, Drew for bucking the trend and showing some restraint.

I never noticed it but I totally believe it. Drew is a classy guy. I admire him for doing it. There is something to said for not doing something just because you can. He holds himself to a higher standard.

But yea I've noticed this as well. I don't know how he does it. I find when I am around people who curse regularly, it rubs off on me and I'll start doing it more than I usually do. And Jeff and Dan can have some real potty mouths.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's never swore on video. I noticed this a while ago, maybe because I'm basically the same way. I'll swear in text form occasionally, but hardly ever in a real conversation. It's just the way I was raised, I guess. Could be the same for Drew. Or maybe he's just very professional and swears like a sailor off camera.

Hopefully he doesn't start now either because it would really weird me out.

It's weird that some consider his posture and restrained swearing to be something akin to higher standards and classiness. Maybe it was just the way I was brought up, but being exposed to the giantbomb/youtube/twitch universe has me utterly surprised at the lack of restraint for swearing, the care for a persons appearance, and the posture of pretty much every person alive. I always thought that was day-to-day business for all.

Kind of a culture shock for me, but maybe that's because my parents were military?

The whole archery shtick is a total red herring.

He has certainly sworn in a handful of situations. However the fact that he does it so incredibly infrequently I find very professional.

I think I remember him dropping an f-bomb in the background of a mail bag video once.
