Epigenesis is a futuristic sports game that takes inspiration from Quake and Unreal Tournament. It is a mix between a sports game and an FPS. Players need to grab a ball and make scores on the other team, when they do they get teleported back to their base with a seed. Players use the seeds to capture platforms and take control of the arena. The team that first captures the other teams final platform wins the game. If no team has done this when the timer reaches zero, the team with the most scores win the match.

Each platform captured grants the owning team a passive buff and a plant. The passive buff is given to each member of that team. The buffs stack, which means that a team that has planted four speed buffs will move a lot faster than the opposing team. The plants that grow up on the captured platforms can be activated by shooting at them with a ray of light. Activated plants get an ability which is used by the plant during certain situations. Plants can be deactivated by the opposing team in the same way.
