    The FS95 Expansion Pack covered an area of Southern California in extreme detail (relative to the time), covering major cities such as San Deigo and Los Angeles in an area reaching approximately to:

    • North: California City
    • South: Tijuana
    • East: Bermuda Dunes
    • West: Catalina Island

    Notable landmarks such as the Hollywood Sign were also included, and several 'photorealistic' scenery areas, and airports were recreated in higher detail than the default FS95 locations.

    A number of missions (about ten) taking advantage of the new scenery were also included, many with specialized ATC and local audio - for instance, stunt flying through downtown LA, visiting the San Diego Zoo, or an instrument approaching into LAX in a 737-400.

    The Los Angeles/South California region was selected for the expansion pack after Microsoft surveyed registered users of the previous Flight Simulator for Windows 95.
