It took a while to get through the "interference" and then it kept loading/saving all the time on the island, but I got there in the end. Man does Nintendo not know how to do online. What a mess. This is my first time traveling to another island. I heard people complaining it was bad, but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad.

I've done online with friends in small groups and it's been fine... I think just opening up to a larger crowd all at once is the issue. Sorry for the hassle everyone! It seems to be calming down a bit now

@nicolasvh: Sorry, the price changed at noon it's garbage now. In general though the person will open their gates via Dodo Code. When you fly, you choose online and then connect via Dodo Code.
