@lokilok2: The reason for the error message is not to annoy you, nor is it to prevent you getting information. The reason we offer a free API is because we believe in giving users access to this wonderful collection of user supplied data.

The reason for the rate limiting is because it costs a lot of money to offer this free resource to our free users. It's not intended for you to go and make multiple accounts with multiple API keys to try to circumvent the system.

You need to allow your users to input their own registered giantbomb API keys in your app.

Our terms of use are pretty clear on this, that API keys are not to be shared, and are to be used for the individual requesting the data.

May we have info on this rate limiting?

How is it measured? (what is the rate? on which basis: seconds/minutes?)

When it occurs, how much time before user gets access again?

Thanks!!

As we are on the API Developers forum may you please direct me to a page where those info are given:

Rate limiting, what's the rate, when it occurs how much time before user gets access again?

In other words, how to use your API for a user willing to retrieve information on -let's say- a collection of thousands games?
