3 Bombcasts = $567.00
Sorry - On a more serious note, that seems almost criminal mate, are you sure theres nothing you can do (dumb question, im sure you've tried everything to avoid paying that much money)
And at this time of the year as well?! How much longer are you tied down on that plan for? not joking dude but it sounds like you need to GTFO of there as soon as possible
My Iphone 4 won't let me stream like that. It usually gives me a warning and tells me to find a wireless network. How odd that happened for you.
You can totally download it on a wireless network or from a computer and put it on the phone.
It's not as hard as some of you folk think to go over your limit when streaming media over the Internet. Those 3 Bombcasts alone would be 195 mb. If you add in any Push Notifications, regular web browsing, or anything like that, your usage will skyrocket. I'm happy I have my unlimited plan, because without it the phone becomes almost useless on 3G. I feel for you, though, TC. I stream Bombcasts and other podcasts all the time when I'm without Internet or away from my PC, especially since the Bombcast refuses to download for me on my iPhone's iTunes app. I was also in a similar situation not too long ago where I went over my text limit for the first time ever, and they charged my an extra $75. They'll take any chance to gouge us for things that should be free or cheap.
the minute verizon chooses to get rid of its unlimited data plans is the day I stop using smart phones.
thats pure rape.
I was paying the unlimited plan price on my iphone until I found out how little data I was actually using over 3G. I do most of my stuff over wifi so I dropped to one of the lower data plans. The fine print is on their website how much it costs if you go over the limit of your plan.
lol I don't even know what kind of mobile Internet plan I have. But considering I updated all my apps overnight and it's just finished... Fuuuuuuck.
" @Rayfield said:" Unbeknowst to me, streaming media on an iPhone chews up data usage like a...big chewing thing. "So rather obviously your ToS on data usage sucks balls. But presuming you are a user of the internet and not born yesterday, HOW WAS THIS UNBEKNOWST TO YOU. Serisouly dude. "
Your words only add to the pain.

"That will make you more careful in the future."
TRUE DAT.
"What? Unlimited internet plans come with the iphone over here, always have. And it's a solid 2mb/0.3mb aswell. "
Over where? Some magical realm of magic?
In Aus, we have this horrific thing called a monthly download limit. And unless you're willing to pay mad cash, the limit is pretty small. Seriously, carriers advertise their awesome deals which promote their latest 4GB plans. I'm talking home internet here. Download more than that per month, and your broadband suddenly becomes dial-up. Or you get charged up the ass.
