I have the grandfather data plan, so basically i get unlimited data for like 30ish bucks a month.

FYI you can just download the pod cast from the iTunes store on your phone, so theres no reason to stream it using safari.  Sucks about the data thing though.

This is why I downloaded the AT&T Mobile App and check my data usage. At most, I think I've used 150 Mb in a month.

It's not as hard as some of you folk think to go over your limit when streaming media over the Internet. Those 3 Bombcasts alone would be 195 mb. If you add in any Push Notifications, regular web browsing, or anything like that, your usage will skyrocket. I'm happy I have my unlimited plan, because without it the phone becomes almost useless on 3G. I feel for you, though, TC. I stream Bombcasts and other podcasts all the time when I'm without Internet or away from my PC, especially since the Bombcast refuses to download for me on my iPhone's iTunes app. I was also in a similar situation not too long ago where I went over my text limit for the first time ever, and they charged my an extra $75. They'll take any chance to gouge us for things that should be free or cheap.

the minute verizon chooses to get rid of its unlimited data plans is the day I  stop using smart phones.

Damn. That's a pretty crappy plan you have there if all it took was 3 bombcasts to go over.

 I was paying the unlimited plan price on my iphone until I found out how little data I was actually using over 3G. I do most of my stuff over wifi so I dropped to one of the lower data plans. The fine print is on their website how much it costs if you go over the  limit of your plan.

What? Unlimited internet plans come with the iphone over here, always have. And it's a solid 2mb/0.3mb aswell.

When I got my iPhone there was no option to not get unlimited data plans.
