I have been listening to the bombcast and other whiskey media podcasts for a while now and I've been wondering, how come i have never heard of a comic vine and giantbomb collaboration podcast? Like with what Will Smith did in the latest episode, maybe i missed it.
Comic vine and Giantbomb?
Maybe the giant bomb dudes just aren't into comics much? Occasionally there are videos with them though, especially when there is some type of comic based game coming out.
Ryan has been on the comic vine podcast a number of times.
They've done stuff with Norm from Tested and I assume they've done stuff with Screened (I don't visit either site so I don't know for sure). They are fairly popular compared to Screened and Tested. Screened and Tested are tiny and their staff appearing on the more popular sites helps their sites. Comic Vine does almost as well as Giant Bomb so they don't need the support of GB. They are successful on their own.
Sara has expressed very strong positive opinions about many comic book based video games, but for some reason they've never had her on to talk about games, nor Tony. I guess the thing is that Giant Bomb is the Whiskey site with the largest editorial team, which has only grown this year with the addition of The Klep (my new nickname for Patrick), and as such they don't really need to rely on other Whiskey editors for content. Will Smith's appearance was an anomaly; the Bombcast seems to have become a five man show now, and Vinny was out of town.

liking comics or no, there have been a few videogames based on comic characters over the years. it would be something different i guess ..
Maybe Ryan is the most knowledgeable of the GB crew about comic books, but the problem is that Tony isn't much of a gamer. What would they talk about? Each side would just talk about what they know: comic books or video games, but not both.
Also, no Babs, please. She's obnoxious.
Because who cares about comic books?
Also I'd really rather not have either of them on the Bombcast, thanks.
We all know everyone is just to scared to talk to Sara cause she's a pretty girl.
on a serious note, i would appreciate their feed back on comic based video games. Having either Tony or Sara on a occasional quick look would be really cool I think
I would guess ...
GB guys are too busy to be on the CV podcast with any regularity - and only Ryan is really up on comics.
GB podcast records late for whatever reason- CV guys, assuming they are invited, would likely want to get home. Also Sarah would likely just get lewd comments and Tony hate - in the comments.

I follow Brad on Twitter and have seen no mention of such a thing. Also, I read through his tweets for the last month, no mention of leaving.
Are you trolling me. Because if you are, you fucking won.
I really like Sara and Tony, and I think they'd be an aid in certain quicklooks...but the Bombcast is already huge, no need for guests unless they are from outside Whiskey or subbing for regulars.
In saying that, I'd be happy with Sara featuring in all the Kinect QLs...don't you judge me!
Ryan and Vinny just showed up on a January one in 2010, back when they had to podcast underneath the stairs
With the recent release of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, it'd be interesting to see some...discussion...thing about the game involving Comic Vine and Giant Bomb. I'd love to know who the hell some of those Marvel characters are, and let's just hear Giant Bomb talk about Capcom stuff. Comic books and video games, yeaaah.

Tony's (About) 3 Minute Expert videos are phenomenal. Particularly the editing.
All the Whiskey sites should follow that example should they need bite-size content, but then it wouldn't be quite so special. :)
Comic Vine didn't create 3ME, Tony "followed the example."
I don't Tony or Sara feel they have much to contribute, and they don't want to antagonize the rage kids here who will get super pissed that they aren't video game experts.

Agreed...on both points.
Also, do either of them really play many games anyway? I'm curious as I don't recall either of them even mentioning their gaming habits outside of DCUO earlier this year and a few of the Arkham City-related pieces I believe Tony wrote. There's nothing wrong with that or anything, but if they're going to have a guest on a gaming podcast, I would assume that guest would probably have to know about/play a lot of different games. Meh w/e.

They have mentioned a few games that they're playing. however they normally do it in passing and when they attempt to get into it, they would be cut off buy comic news from G-Man.
This has happened a few times. Im not saying he shouldn't do that. I like how they stay on track. Whiskey Media has a gaming Podcast already, doesn't need another one.
Doesn't mean they should do more collaborations between whiskey media sites. Even more so when the food website comes alive.

I am pretty sure Tony is probably the busiest of any of them, save the engineers. Maybe.
Nope, the busiest (aside from the engineers) would be Rorie.

Would've been a good idea to bring them on for Arkham City discussion.
Or just anyone that could give another opinion on comics other than Ryan. The Bombcast don't all agree on every game, it'd be nice to have someone else then to at least bounce ideas about comic related games.
I mean weird crashing of ideas and opinion altering happens a dozen times on every Bombcast, and because I'm paying attention there have been questions before that someone with an ear closer to the ground might have been able to answer.
