Hearing last night's bombcast and the parts with them talking about Persona 4 was great. I'm a huge fan of the game and ER as most duders are(hopefully). Anyone else glad at the revival of Persona 4 talk on the bombcast? It feels nostalgic in a way to hear Vinny and Jeff recount some of the best moments from Persona 4. I hope that they continue to discuss it on the bombcast.
I'm happy about the renewed discussion of Persona 4.

Ah, I love it when they reference the ER on the Bombcast. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet, but I'm sure I will as I'm grinding through Naoto's dungeon later tonight. Have any of them played any of Golden yet? Because so far all Jeff has done is shit on anything that's changed, but after playing through the first half or so, I feel like it's all pretty great (especially the stuff about Yosuke's obsession with "motorcycles" AKA scooters). I'd love to see at least one of them give it a fair chance (even if it's not until all of the GOTY stuff is out of the way).
On an unrelated note, Golden's probably going to be my personal GOTY, or at least a close second (I really liked Max Payne 3). Still liked P3 FES better, though. I'll stick to that.
I'm also glad that now that I'm playing through it on it's own, I'm able to appreieate it for more than the ER, though. There's so much more to that game than funky student, aha is this our chance, and get bent. All of the references in the community has actually started bugging me, honestly.
P4G has been treating me well so far. As a dude that put somewhere around 170 hours into the original game, I can't help but have a stupid grin on my face every couple of minutes. There's something charming about Chie's voice and that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the good feelings.

Just hearing them discuss the game in detail brought back memories.
CHILLS MAN, CHILLS.
Yes I got all giddy.
That reminds of Brad's "I like everything about Pid except for actually playing it". Seriously, fuck that game's frustrating deaths.@Sooty said:
goty of all the years.
it's not even the best persona game, so nope
(that title belongs to persona 2 despite the fact that the combat is not fun)
Nostalgia for the first ER is just depressing. Nothing will ever be like that period of time on the site. They picked the perfect game, at the perfect time, with the perfect crew, in the perfect mindset. Everything fell into place perfectly. Thats why all the new ERs are just depressing, I hate to say "why even try to top that", but seriously I support them just packing up the ER, and moving on because that feature definitely peaked early.

@Animasta: I fully intend to play Persona 2 at some point soon. Is the PSP version of Innocent Sin enough, or do I have to track down a PS1 copy of Eternal Punishment?
yeah, you need to play both.
otherwise you won't know what the subtitles mean (as well as a bevy of other things)

"Innocent Sin" is fully obvious when you play through it, so it's not like you need to have played Eternal Punishment to infer the previous game's subtitle's meaning.

but I'd at least like to play the two games on the same platform. (I'm being unnessarily picky, I know.)
That's the dumbest thing. They've made a lot of improvements to IS compared to the PS1 version and, in my opinion, the redone music is also much better than the original game. The PSP versions are superior to the older ones, but obviously we can only really experience the PS1 version of EP right now.

Hopefully they have a Eternal Punishment PSP localization or you'll have to dish out $150+ like I did.
No regrets, though!
It's awesome to hear it again...now if only I knew how to continue the s link with Marie. What fucking spark am I missing?!

I was stuck at level 4 for about three weeks of in game time. I think it just picks back up again after a certain date.

I think that's where I'm stuck at too and every time I talk to her it says you need some kind of spark to progress the relationship. I'm not sure if I'm missing out on something because I still see that people can hang out with Marie on that little notification bubble thing that shows what people did that day.

Don't worry, you'll need more people to join your investigation team before you'll be able to advance it more. Trust me, I went through the same thing and I was freaking out.
